Bishop Damien Mead does a lot of work for autistic kids. I love the way he does so without patronising! So he came up with this idea. He and some of his autistic children are working in the shop in Canterbury to give the usual shop manager time for her holidays.
Indeed, we clergy need patience and indulgence as we struggle to do all we can to serve the communion of the Church.

We can’t all be perfect, but Shirley Temple was, for me, and millions others. I’ve just found out that she has passed away. I think the world has lost a rare and beautiful star. “Aster ad astra ascensit, sed in corde nostra permanebit”.
