Not death.
Death died
when He killed it,
when He let it take Him,
when He let it hold Him,
thinking it had won.
He tasted death,
yielded to it,
let it swallow Him, the Lord of all,
let it chew upon him as a meal,
thinking that it could digest Him,
absorb into itself the Lord of all,
but it could not contain Him,
for He is the Lord of all.
Not death.
Death died
when He killed it,
when He took it in His hands,
when He tossed it deep into the pit,
when He walked out from its lair
to life to live in everlasting power,
to take the hands of those who let Him,
to lift them, lead them, save them.
Not death for Him.
Not death for us.
Passing through the grip of death
to life,
TO LIFE.
Alleluia!
A very happy Easter to you, father.
