Missale Sarum

I once posted a link to a Latin Sarum missal on New Rendering of Dickinson Sarum Missal in Latin and found that the site and file were gone. Fortunately I saved a copy which I have posted on As the Sun in its Orb.

Here is the exact link from the Sarum page:

There are several software packages available for converting pdf files into editable format. I have ABBYY FineReader (which you need to buy from the site) which is not bad. You will also need the programme’s Latin dictionary. Probably the best thing is to extract the text and re-do the DTP work on Word or in a DTP application of your choice.

Your other possibility is to print it all out using a colour printer and binding the pages with the method of your choice. I doubt that this will be very satisfying.

Nonetheless, this is a valuable resource which is clearer than the old facsimile reproductions of the nineteenth-century edition.

Possibly you mean a link, rather that a mink father? Though I guess it could be something to do with an almuce … 🙂

I have recently come across this recreation of a medieval Mass in Sweden, it is one of the best I have seen and it brings to life the old Northern Catholic traditions. Personally, I find it very moving. It is so Northern in its simplicity as well as sobriety. it is home.
